Zeerak Ahmed (MDE ‘18) launches Matnsaz
Matnsaz, a breakthrough keyboard for the Arabic script, is launching in 2022. Zeerak Ahmed (MDE ‘18) began researching Urdu software and typography for this project during his time in the MDE program. The groundwork formed his Independent Design Engineering Project (IDEP) in 2017, and work has proceeded toward a polished app that advances software paradigms for an entire region. Most recently in 2022, Zeerak delivered a talk about his Urdu software work at the National Incubation Center at Lahore University of Management Sciences.
