Randy Swearer

Vice President, Learning Futures, Autodesk

Dr. Randy Swearer has brought over 25 years of passion in higher education leadership and strategy to Autodesk first as Vice President of Education Experiences and now as Vice President of Learning Futures. In the former role, Randy was deeply involved in exploring the future of education, including learning co-creatively with machine intelligence, cross-disciplinary learning, and teaching design-driven innovation to the next generation of students. In his current role, Randy co-leads work on the Autodesk Learning Engine with Autodesk research–a project that weaves together machine intelligence, data, and human experiences to generate insights for customers across the levels of individuals, teams, and organizations. He also oversees thought leadership activities in the Strategic Foresight group.

Randy was previously the provost and dean of faculty at Philadelphia University (now Jefferson University) and Dean of Parsons School of Design. He served as Deputy Director of the design program of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Design Division head at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas. He began his career as a designer at Wang Laboratories and IBM.
