MDE studio project wins 2023 Fast Company awards

TINA, the MDE studio project by Mimi Kigawa (MDE ‘23), Riad El Soufi (MDE ‘24), and Connie Wang (MDE ‘24), is an honoree in this year’s Innovation by Design Awards and the recipient of the Linda Tischler Award. About TINA:

TINA, a bioremediation solution for open waters, began as a studio project in Spring 2022. The student team created it with the goal of pulling manganese from water and repurposing it for lithium-ion batteries.
