Kedrick Brown (MDE ‘23) wins Analog Award

Analog Science Fiction and Fact is a scifi magazine known for producing Hugo and Nebula Award-winning fiction. In 2021, magazine editors and a panel of judges selected Kedrick Brown (MDE ’23) as the receipt of the “Analog Award for Emerging Black Voices,” which is “an award meant to make the ‘on-boarding process’ for Black prospective authors – traditionally under-represented in the sciences and in science fiction – a bit easier” (Locus Spotlight).

As a follow-up to the award, Kedrick’s short story “The Actor” appears in the November/December 2022 issue of Analog.
