Gelei (Grace) Mai

Gelei (Grace) Mai is a multi-media artist and designer. Her work presents erratic moments and ambiguous identity within high-context societies, and extends into rethinking human agency in the world of contemporary images.

Mai received her BFA and B.Arch degree from Rhode Island School of Design (2018) and has worked as architectural designer (2018-2019), art and design educator (2019-present), and digital media artist (2020-present). Before MDE, Mai has brought her research and practice into teaching and collaboration with artists and art students in fields including architecture, spatial experience, fine arts, video arts, communication design, and design for interaction.
