Deepika Gopalakrishnan

Bachelor in Product Design

Deepika Gopalakrishnan is passionate about designing healthcare products for developing countries. She completed her undergraduate studies in design in 2020, after which she co-founded a healthcare innovation startup, Dverse Labs. At Dverse Labs, her team developed and implemented automated disinfection technologies to make hospital spaces safer. As an entrepreneur, she worked across product design, strategy, research, marketing, and business development. While working in her startup, she realized the challenges and barriers in creating change at a systemic level in hospitals. At MDE, she hopes to gain interdisciplinary and strategic skills to tackle complex systemic challenges in healthcare. Her focus is on gaining skills to develop product-service systems that empower people to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
